About Ameland
Ameland is one of the four Frisian inhabited Wadden Islands. The dune-rich island lies between Terschelling and Schiermonnikoog. Ameland is primarily a family island and highly recommended for nature lovers. You can drive in all directions and the car can be taken on the ferry.
The island has four beautiful and authentic villages, Buren, Nes, Ballum and Hollum. Enjoy the peace and space on this beautiful Wadden island, watch the breathtaking sunset, cycle on the shell paths, take a nice walk in the forest to one of the many viewpoints (our recommendation: the 55 meter high lighthouse of Hollum), look around the beautiful beaches and also visit the nice shops, beautiful terraces and cozy restaurants of this unique Wadden island.
